The NCW School Board is diligently exploring options to continue to provide our students with the best Education possible, while operating more efficiently. This includes analyzing our current operating costs as well as exploration into consolidation. Changes will be required in order to avoid operating a financial deficit. Please be sure to attend our meetings and share your ideas around how we can support the future of NCW.

Exciting Opportunities Planned for the future of NCW!


NCW is pleased to announce that we have partnered with Microsoft for the 2017-18 school year and will be offering the TEALS (https://www.tealsk12.org/about/) program. Check out the link provided for an overview of TEALS. We’ll be providing an overview of this program on June 20th, 2017 at our next regular school Board meeting.

Related to the TEALS Program, we are committed to exploring how to infuse NCW with options for a STEM based focused education. STEM based education is the in great demand and arguably critical to being competitive in the today’s workforce. To learn more about STEM visit this website: https://www.ed.gov/stem

NCW is proud to announce we have expanded our already successful cooperation with Ada-Borup to include Cross Country, 11 Man Football, Volleyball, Girls Basketball, Track, Golf, Baseball, Softball, Theatre & Speech for the 2017-18 school year.

COMMITTEES

NCW has formed two committees to aid in providing more accurate information regarding decision making as it relates the future of NCW.  These committees are working diligently to provide well informed recommendations to our school board.


1. The NCW Efficiency Committee is looking into ways NCW can operate more efficiently. They will gather detailed information on our current buildings and analyze costs to maintain two buildings compared to the cost of moving into one building. This committee will focus on insure our tax dollars are being spent efficiently while still providing a high quality education.


2. The Consolidation Exploration Committee includes members of the NCW and Ada-Borup School Boards. It will analyze opportunities and hurdles regarding  possible consolidation in the future.
