West High

West High School operates on a two-semester schedule, offering quarter, semester, and year-long classes. In addition to the basic state requirements, the school offers classes in writing, algebra, and social studies for high school and college credit, classes in computer applications, industrial technology classes, and a variety of classes in the fine arts. 

West High has an exceptional music department, with junior and senior high concert band, as well as junior and senior high choirs.  A pep band performs at sporting events, and a jazz band offers junior and senior high students additional music experiences.

West High has a well-stocked media center supervised by a paraprofessional, two PC computer labs--as well as computers in classrooms--a social worker, and nurse. Special education services are provided by district staff and itinerant staff from the Area Special Education Cooperative in East Grand Forks, MN.
  
West High graduates continue their educations at colleges, universities, technical colleges, community colleges or military learning programs. With three major colleges, and a  technical college within 35 miles, students have numerous opportunities after completing their High School education at West High.
